Daisy grew up as an Air Force brat with roots in the American South. As a child, she lived all over the United States, as well as the Philippines and Germany, visiting cities and countries that most American children can’t even find on a map. Her summers were never spent in camps or special programs, they were spent running barefoot through south Georgia with her sister and their cousins. Climbing trees, swimming, inventing games and eating Nannie’s biscuits and fried catfish.
Daisy never did figure out what she wanted to do with her life. Nothing that was offered seemed appealing. Career, jobs, marriage, children – she couldn’t understand why people seemed to think these things were so important. All Daisy wanted to do was swim and ride horses and lay around outside all day. After attending 3 different colleges, she took her BFA in Theatre and became an actor. Then that got hard AND boring, so she quit to work with horses for a few years. That got hard AND expensive, so she had a kid and was a stay at home Mommy for a few years.
Now Daisy is an Herban Cowgirl, gardening, reading, writing, acting, cooking, cleaning, landscaping, animal wrangling, sewing, repairing, building, painting, swimming, biking, walking, baking, trading, researching, networking, composting, recycling, teaching, planning, joking, playing games, and putting on another pot of coffee.
